Problem
Is there any way to uninstall ZyXEL IPSec VPN clinet software if I forgot the password which defined when install this software in first time.
Solution
To uninstall the software, you need to provide the password which the user configured previously to protect the GUI. In case of
password lost, the only way is to uninstall the software using below steps. Note that the VPN Configuration is not recoverable.
To uninstall the software manually ;
1) Start > Execute > regedit > Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\
delete the folder "TgbIke.exe"
2) Delete all files in 'C:\Program Files\Zyxel\Zywall IPsec VPN'
3) Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Stop the service "TGBIKE STARTER.
4) Delete the file "TGBStarter.EXE" C:\Windows\System32\
5) Go to the network properties. (Start > Control Panel > Network Properties > Manage network connections > Local Area Connection
> Properties)
Click on the service "TheGreenBow NDIS filter driver" and uninstall it.
